In Engehalde, Bern, old walls are being transformed into inspiring spaces. The art of this project was to combine existing structures with smart interventions, keep an eye on costs, and still create spaces with a distinct identity.
Authentic materials such as OSB panels, steel, and strategic signage help give the existing spaces an inspiring and modern look that attracts teams. The temporary nature of the design ties the three spaces together and creates a creative and inspiring workshop atmosphere. The highlight is undoubtedly the “DenkBAR,” which features a built-in barista coffee machine and serves as a magnet for meetings and interaction.
Existing materials such as floors, ceilings, and lighting were integrated into the overall concept as far as possible, which is both economically and ecologically sustainable.
