Network à la carte.

bluefactory

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Sustainable innovation hub.

As part of the Switzerland Innovation Park, the Bluefactory is gradually being built on the former Cardinal site: a unique innovation hub that embodies the interplay of economy and ecology. This urban quarter in Fribourg is more than just a technology park, it is a space for creative encounters, events and sustainable development.

The Mycelium restaurant designed by us is a special highlight right in the heart of the Bluefactory. The material concept focuses on naturalness and sustainability, using mainly wood, metal and linoleum. Subtle green and natural tones form a restrained, reduced and minimalist design.

The large-scale wall designs act as an eye-catcher and contrast, creating an inviting and lively atmosphere. The open, light-flooded rooms offer guests a special experience.

The mycelium, a thread-like network that mushrooms use to reproduce, not only gives the location its name, but also played a key role in inspiring the lighting concept. The space is subtly illuminated and the connection to nature emphasized by means of a flowing, natural lighting effect created by interconnected, organically shaped luminaires.

The atrium is designed as a multifunctional zone for flexible usage scenarios such as working, workshops, dining and networking events. The furniture used consistently follows this approach and thus covers all the needs of the different user groups.

The overall project shows how modern design and sustainability can be successfully combined to create a functional and aesthetically pleasing space that contributes to the vibrant community of this neighborhood.
